Oshimili North Chief Whip, Mordi Pledges Robust Representation For Constituents

The Chief Whip of Oshimili North Local Government Legislative House / Arm, Hon. (Comr.) Jeffrey Sunday Mordi, has reiterated his commitment to strive for the betterment of the good people of Okpanam Community and impact positively on the entire Oshimili North through his robust contributions geared towards ensuring the growth and development of humanity.

Honourable Mordi, who is the Councillor representing Okpanam ward 9A in the council, gave the assurance in his Ogbeowelle residence of Okpanam while speaking with journalists after his official swearing-in at Akwukwu-Igbo , his subsequent emergence as the Chief Whip of the Council.

The articulate Okpanam Councillor, who commended his constituents for their support at all times, said that it had always been his passion to add value to his people, even as he pledged his unalloyed resolve to drive the needed development to his people.

Honourable (Comr.) Mordi, stated that the local government administration was all about grassroots governance, explaining that the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah remained his mentor in politics and appreciated him for his uncommon determination to transform Okpanam community

He promised not to disappoint his party, the PDP and lauded the State Governor and the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner for making it possible for him to emerge as a principal officer of the legislature.

Speaking in their separate remarks, a cross section of his associates including one of the Ogbeowelle/ Tai solari People’s Democratic Party Cell leaders, Honourable Ifeanyi Okafor, Mr. Desmond Onyeluka Obiakpo, the Chairman of Obodogwugwu Land Committee, Comrade Collins Ogonenwe and a frontline Director in the Delta State Civil Service, Comrade Abel Ageh, described Honourable Mordi as a kind-hearted and focused individual who had continued to stand for his people.

Okafor and Comrade Ageh, said that the Oshimili North Legislative arm Chief Whip was a motivational factor for the peaceful stability of his area, just as the duo noted that he was a soft spoken but articulate young man whose priority was to actualise the expectations of his people.

Others who spoke including the Chairman of Amachai Youths General Comrade Emmanuel Dinjo Agala, Comrade Emnanuel Ezeadigwu of Ogbeozoma, and the younger brother of the celebrant, Mr. Benjamin Mordi said that the Oshimili North Chief Whip was always reliable and dependable, adding that he had continued to prove his competence to uplift the community.

The wife of the celebrant, Mrs. Goodness Mordi , who was overwhelmed by joy, described her husband as a go-getter, saying that with his humility and humanitarian dispositions, he would touch the lives of his people.

It could be recalled that all the councilors from Okpanam including Honourable Sunday Jeffrey Mordi, Honourable Lady Nkem Franca Nwankwo and Honourable Barry Ezuche Okonkwo were among the councilors that took the oath office and sworn -in recently .
