BREAKING: Oyo Court Orders FG To Pay Igboho N20Bn
A High Court sitting in Oyk State on Friday ordered the Federal Government of Nigeria to pay the sum of N20billion to Chief Sunday Adeyemo known as Igboho as damages for the invasion of his residence.
It would be recalled the home of Chief Sunday Igboho located around Soka, Ibadan was invaded by Operatives of Department of State Security (DSS) on April 26, 2021 at about 2.00 am with heavy gunshots, at the end of which properties valued at several Millions were destroyed and two of his men allegedly killed while others who were recently released on bail were whisked away.
The Court also declared the invasion illegal and tongue-lashed the DSS for acting based on what it described as “arbitrary aggression and prejudices” from his agitation for Yoruba Nation.
