Distribution Of Furniture Equipment In Public Schools Begins In Delta —Ezewu

Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu , has said that distribution of chairs in public secondary schools have commenced across the three senatorial districts.

The Commissioner , who disclosed this in a statement released in Asaba said the gesture was in consolidation of the State Government’s determination to provide a conducive learning environment for the students in the state.

According to the Commissioner, a total of 5,233 furniture equipment had been distributed to public schools in Delta North while Asaba Capital Territory was also given 2433.

She said that 5,197 chairs students were being distributed for Delta Central Senatorial District , adding that additional 100 were for teachers in the district.

The Secondary Education Commissioner also disclosed that 3,868 furniture had been distributed recently for students in Delta South while teachers have 240 just as she said that a total of 915 desks had been distributed for students in Warri Federal Capital Territory.

Mrs. Ezewu described as falsehood, the allegations by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the students in the state are learning under poor condition.

She said that it was unfair for the party to be engaged in an unnecessary propaganda aimed at discrediting the good intentions of the state government in the education sector, adding that the State Government had continued to distribute learning materials including chairs and tables to schools.

Mrs . Ezewu recalled that ever since the inception of administration of Senator,(Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa the education system has continued to witness inclusive turnaround as well as transformation.

She said that 1000 teachers were employed in 2019, stressing that more teachers in relevant subject areas would be recruited when approval was given.

Mrs. Ezewu pledged to contribute her quota towards the upliftment of the education system in the state.
