Deadly Inferno Razes Building, Property Worth Millions Of Naira I In Ughelli

The occupants of plot 3, Aro Road, Ughelli, could neither have sensed any danger, nor have any cause to believe that Sunday, the 28th of November, 2021 held any special surprise for them, let alone the terrific occurrence that happened while they had gone to church that fateful morning.
It was heart-rendering to see the magnificent storey building housing 6 residential tenants including a patent medicine retail store and two other shops gutted by fire in an incident that left many bewildered.
The satanic fire outbreak that occurred while all occupants of the building had gone to Church, wasted properties worth millions of naira with devastating effects on over three flats in the building,

Sources from the area told newsmen that, although the immediate cause of the fire could not be ascertained, it took the efforts of men of the Delta State Fire Service to battle the deadly inferno to a standstill to avoid spreading to other buildings in the area.
It was reliably gathered that one of the victims who occupies a three bedroom apartment in the building, lost everything including properties and items bought in preparation for his wedding ceremony that was scheduled for this December.
While unconfirmed sources have suspected that the fire may have been caused by a candle light or gas cylinder explosion in one of the apartment, sympathisers at the scene of the incidence however hailed the Delta State Fire Service Team in Ughelli, stating that if not for their prompt intervention in responding to the distress call, other buildings in the area would also have been gutted by the fire.
As at the time of filing this report, no life was lost.
