DTSG Presents Vehicle To Bishop Mogekwu On His Retirement

Delta State Government has presented a vehicle to the Bishop of Asaba Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Reverend Justus N. Mogekwu, to commemorate his 70th birthday and retirement from service of the church.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, on behalf of the state government, presented the vehicle to the Bishop at St. Peter’s Cathedral Church, Bishops Court, Asaba.

Chief Ukah, who described the retiring Bishop as a true soldier of Christ and a role model for decades in the Diocese of Asaba, urged him not to relent in his service to God towards the development of the state and the country.

While congratulating him on his retirement and birthday anniversary,
he prayed God to give give him long life in good health and wisdom to enable him contribute more to the service of God and humanity
Bishop Mogekwu, who was overwhelmed by the state government gesture, thanked governor Ifeanyi Okowa and others for their support to the growth of the church and the state, and prayed God to give him the wisdom to take Delta State to enviable height.

He urged the state government not to relent in it’s continued support to the church and the development of the state in order to build a Stronger Delta.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the vehicle to the Bishop by the SSG, on behalf of the state government.
