A woman, Mrs Ochuko Akpomiemie, has escaped being kidnapped by a tricycle rider on her way home after the close of the day’s business in Sapele.

Mrs. Ochuko narrated that she boarded a tricycle, popularly called keke, along the Okpe Road at about 10.00pm and told the driver that her destination was the Gana area by the Rain Oil filling station in Sapele.

On getting to her destination, the keke driver refused to stop and told her he was taking her away.

As her shouts for help fell on deaf ears, she was left with the only option of jumping out of the keke that was on high speed. She sustained injuries in so doing, just as the keke operator came after her in an attempt to drag her back into the keke.

Luckily for her, a passerby heard her shout for help and approached the scene which made the keke man jump into his keke and zoomed off.

Mrs Ochuko gave all thanks to God Almighty for sending that passerby to her rescue and advised that everyone should be careful as people are desperately looking for any thing to make money and not bothered about taking lives.
