DELSU: Gunmen Kidnap Final Year Student, Demand N50Millon Ransom
Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a final year student of the Delta State University, Abraka, Mr. Chris Oghojafor.
The Industrial Chemistry student was kidnapped on Friday night,April 22 in Abraka Community, Ethiope-East Local Government Area.
It was learnt that the kidnappers called the mother of the victim to demand for a fifty million naira ransom.
The father of the student who is a journalist, Mr. John Oghojafor Esq confirmed the report to our correspondent at the Delta State University, Campus 3 in Abraka.

The legal practitioner said: “They kidnapped my son since on Friday night. They called my wife to demand for N50million. Later, they negotiated to three(N3millon) naira.”
Mr. Oghojafor appealed to the kidnappers to release his son unhurt saying he is just a student who is planning his life and future to be a better person in the society.
Meanwhile, Oasis Magazine gathered that the family has raised the three million naira they finally agreed to accept in order they release the student.
“We are awaiting their calls,” the journalist added.
