PDP Guber Primary: Oborevwori Shall Be Victorious Convincingly – PDP Chieftain, Latimore
Says Sheriff Is The Leader Of All Governorship Aspirants In Delta State
Chairman of Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG and Justice of the Peace in Delta State, Olorogun Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has again predicted landslide victory for the Pan Delta Governorship Aspirant, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, ahead of PDP gubernatorial primary in the state.
Barrister Oghenesivbe gave the assurance during a live phone-in radio programme monitored in Asaba on Thursday morning, 19th May, 2022, saying that his foreseeable accurate prediction is anchored on the competence, detribalised nature, political popularity, humility, pleasant personality and enviable track records of Oborevwori in the past five years as speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and still counting.
He noted that the other governorship aspirants in the state are already aware that Oborevwori has pragmatically and doggedly taken effective control of the entire political landscape in Delta, adding that there is no controversy as to his smooth emergence as the gubernatorial flag bearer of PDP in Delta State.

Oghenesivbe who is the Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Communications, further asserted that Oborevwori has been a front line system politician from 1999 till date and knows the inner workings of government, coupled with the fact that he had humbled himself extensively to learn leadership and good governance craftsmanship from the incumbent governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who is the head of government and leader of PDP in the State.
He disclosed that Okowa is the arrowhead and visionary leader of the new Progressive Delta Movement, premised on prudent management of financial resources, provision of social amenities, raising millions of young entrepreneurs, creating wealth and jobs for Deltans, rehabilitating and building new infrastructure across the state in line with the principles of good governance and representative government.
Oghenesivbe, a political pontiff said Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has been a responsible head of the legislative arm of government, fit and proper to become Okowa’s successor in 2023, as the 5th democratically elected governor of Delta State, pointing out that all available electioneering evidence revealed that the Guber primary shall overwhelmingly favour Mr Speaker.
“Yes, you are right to say that Delta State has been Sheriffied. It is a movement across the entire 25 local government areas in the state. Sheriffication is a political tsunami that guarantees the landslide victory of Oborevwori at he Guber primary on 25th May and election in 2023.
“The other PDP governorship aspirants are eminently qualified, one way or the other, but Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori is super qualified in all ramifications. He is indeed a square peg in a square hole in terms of academic qualification, competence, experience, coupled with his detailed knowledge of the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
“What Deltans need right now is another incorruptible governor like Okowa to take the state to the next level of development and economic prosperity, not the regrouping of looters that will take us 8 years backward. The era of looting is over and can never resurface in Delta State, by the special grace of God.
“Deltans need a governor that will listen to them and solve their problems the way and manner Okowa have been listening and solving problems across the state; and the most suitable person is the incumbent Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
“Oborevwori is the man of the moment in Delta State. Sheriff is the leader of all the governorship aspirants and they respect and appreciate him as their indefatigable leader. This is the truth of the matter. They will collapse their political structures into Sheriff’s gubernatorial campaign after the primaries.
“At the beginning of this programme you said you were amazed at the crowd you saw in his political consultation tour across the state as captured in the television documentary. That is the exact mood in Delta today. Everywhere is Sheriffied because he is a grassroot politician. Deltans love Sheriff and PDP delegates are solidly behind him.
“Gov Okowa gave Deltans practical development, not theoretical development on paper. Deltans are not interested in cosmetic promises based on academic theories from Harvard University. Deltans are wiser today than they were in 1999 and 2007. That era of political deceit is gone forever.
“Deltans want a governor that will conduct Town Hall meetings like Okowa, so as to know their immediate needs and then provide urgent practical solutions. They strongly believe and trust Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to provide that kind of proactive and result oriented leadership as Okowa’s successor.
“The phobia of negative economic effects flowing from previous looted funds in the state is crucial in the ongoing electioneering politics in Delta State. Deltans and PDP delegates have decided not to give their support and votes to any member of the looters club and Oligarchs, this time around.
“This is where the total Sheriffcation of Delta State emanated from. Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori is a clean man, not in any way involved in any past unscrupulous financial dealings in the State between 1999 and 2007. He is the right man for the job.
“Yes, Okowa is neutral in the governorship politics leading to party primaries, but as a progressive leader and a major stakeholder in the affairs of Delta State, his prayers will be that the best aspirant should emerge as PDP gubernatorial candidate at the primary.
“Every patriotic and Democratic leader want the best for his people and such a leader will never ignore the choice of the majority of the people. And as the father to all Deltans and leader of the party, Gov Okowa’s prayers is for the best among the PDP governorship aspirants to be his successor on May 29, 2023,” Oghenesivbe said.
