Church Gists
The Quietness Of Christians Is Reason Why People Can Come And Kill People In The Church –Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo has declared that the reason gunmen can enter the church and kill people is because the church is too quiet.
He said this after his sermon, as he led his congregation in prayers against the killers of Christians in the Catholic Church in Ondo State.
He said that the church has mighty power, but they are not using this power.

He revealed that one of the powers Jesus gave the church was the power to curse.
According to him, the same way Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died from the roots, is the same way the church can curse any evil rising up against it, and it would also die from the roots.
“God is not a dummy God,” he said.
“The same way you will not be smiling with the person that killed your child is the same way he will not be smiling with these people.”
He declared that when a man hates the enemies of God, it is proof that that man loves God with all his heart. He read from Psalm 139:21-22, which says;
“Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
“I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.”
He declared that only a good Christian will hate the enemies of God.
He reminded his congregation of testimonies many people have shared of how they escaped the clutches of ritual killers.
“Many people have shared testimonies of deliverance from ritualists in this church,” he said.
“They will say ‘Is it Oyedepo? Tell him we did not do anything to you’ They will drop their weapons and run away. It will be the same with these people.”
He called on the church to begin to use their power to put an end to these harassments from devilish people.
