Aftermath Of 14-Day Ultimatum To Tidi: Urhobo Youths Summon Emergency Stakeholders' Meeting

In line with the 14-day ultimatum issued to the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Mr. Michael Tidi, demanding the reinstatement of the allegedly destroyed signpost at Urhobo Cultural Center, Okere-road, Otovwodo town, Agbarha-Ame, the Urhobo Youths have called for an emergency stakeholders meeting.

The notice for the emergency meeting, scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at Urhobo House, Uvwiamuge, Agbarho, at 1 pm, was signed by the Secretary of Urhobo Progress Union Youth Wing Worldwide, Comrade Egheneji Oghenegweke.

According to the notice, “All Urhobo sons and daughters who are youths are invited, especially the National Executive of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing Worldwide, along with five representatives from each of the Urhobo kingdoms, all Urhobo youth organizations with at least five members as delegates, including their presidents/chairmen and secretaries, and all Urhobo youth leaders and state branch executives with at least 5 members, including their chairmen and secretaries.”

The statement noted that the agenda will include, but not be limited to, a discussion of the way forward regarding the actions of Mr. Michael Tidi and his Itsekiri cohorts towards the Urhobo nation and other security challenges in urhobo land.

It also emphasized in the meeting notice that their presence at the meeting would be highly appreciated, as other matters of urgency and importance would be discussed.
