Delta NUJ Holds Congress, Calls For Periodic Profiling Of Residents, Others

Comrade Churchill Oyowe, Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta State, has extended warm greetings to Muslims, as well as Deltans on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement, he said that “in this diverse and vibrant state, we celebrate the richness of our cultural and religious diversity.”

He added: “As Muslims, your faith and traditions have become integral part of the fabric of our society, and we value the contributions you make to our communities.”

Furthermore, he encouraged all Deltans, “regardless of religious affiliation, to embrace the spirit of unity, understanding, and mutual respect.”

Adding: “Let us continue to work together to build a peaceful and prosperous Delta State where everyone can thrive and contribute to the progress of our beloved state.”

“As we celebrate and observe important religious occasions, let us also remember the values of compassion, empathy, and solidarity. Let us extend a hand of friendship and support to one another, and strive to create a society where everyone feels included and valued,” he opined.

“I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed and joyous celebration, and I urge all Deltans to join hands in fostering harmony, tolerance, and cooperation across our communities.

“Together, let us build a Delta State that is a shining example of unity in diversity.

“Thank you, and may peace and blessings of the Almighty God be upon you all. Amen” he concluded.
