Afiesere Community Swears In Ejotubu As Youth Chairman, Urges Youths To Shun Drug Abuse

The Afiesere community, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state, on on Monday 12th August, 2024, sworn-in Mr. Erubure Ejotubu as the new Chairman of the Youth/Employment Committee and urged youths in the community to shun drug abuse and all forms of violence.

The Afiesere community had on the 22nd of July, 2024, at the community town hall through the Electoral Committee headed by its Chairman, Mr. Oghenedoro Abel and the Secretary, Mr. Anthony Umukperuo conducted a free and fair election which saw Mr. Erbure Ejotubu as youth chairman and other members of his executives.in line with the Afiesere community constitution.

Among those sworn-in are: Mr. Erubure Ejotubu as Chairman, Youth and Employment Committee, Mr. Clever Utuedor as Vice Chairman, Mr. Akponana Onoriode as Secretary, Mr. Wilson Agogo as Treesurer, Mr. Victor Onofeghara as P.R.O, Mr. Oghenevwairhe Ohare as Asst. Secretary, Mr. Egurase Okpole as Financial Secretary, Mr. Odoko Gift as Speaker and Mr. Cephas Emuoboyi as Organizing Secretary.

Others are: Mr. Patrick Onoberhie as Ex Official, Mr. Osoni Oghenedoro as Ex Official, Mr. Umukoro Isaac as Ex Official, Mr. Julius Ogholaja as Ex Official, Mr. Akpojiyovwi Peter as Provost, Mr. Odoji Okpako as Provost, Mr. Augustine Ebrameta as Provost, Mr. Akpososo Shedrack as Provost, Mr. Samson Uvietaire as Provost and Mr. Ese Arighwegbe as Provost

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Oghenedoro Abel, while speaking commended the outgone chairman, Mr. Ogwho Samson and members of his executives for providing all necessary documents and information for a hitch-free election.

The newly elected Afiesere community Youth/Employment Committee Chairman, Mr. Erubure Ejotubu, urged the youths to shun drug abuse and other form of violence, pointing out that drug abuse can lead to low self esteem, suicidal, depression and said he will not disappoint the people on the confidence repose on him and promised to work with the central executives for the overall development of the community

The incumbent and immediate past Presidents General of Afiesere community, Mr. Luke Umukoro, Hon. Richard Ovwreghrederohwo and Mr Victor Otumemine, who also spoke at the ceremony, commended the outgone executives of the youth/employment committee and the electoral committee for a successful election.
