N518B Delta Revenue: There’s Every Justification To Interrogate Onojeghen’s Exposition
In a recent exposition by Theophilus Onojeghen, youthful publisher of NIGER DELTA TODAY ONLINE, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administration of Delta state has received total of N518,919,467,415.43, between May 2023 and June 2024.
Should there be any reason for not holding Oborevwori accountable? Should Deltan elites keep silent when these monies are not accounted for by Oborevwori?
Governor Oborevwori, please tell us what you spent these money for. This is outside internally generated revenue (IGR).
Our elites and youths are accusing President Tinubu without asking Oborevwori the basic questions. Mr. Governor, tell us how you spent these federal allocations accrued to Delta state.

Who are those political nonentities praising Oborevwori? Are they insane? Over half a trillion have been wasted by Oborevwori for nothing. Are his praise singers not ashamed that Oborevwori is unable to account for what is due to Delta?
For how long will Delta people remain slaves to their leaders? Should we all pretend as if all is well in Delta state whereas the people are suffering hunger, starvation, unemployment and misgovernment.
Delta state has not been lucky with leaders since 1999.Like what Aliko Dangote has said in one of his interviews recently, “We, Africans, are the only people that can develop Africa. If we are waiting for foreigners or foreign investors to come and develop Africa, it will never happen.”
Deltans are the only people that can develop Delta state and we shouldn’t expect foreigners from other countries to develop our own state for us. The will to develop Delta state should be the focus for all Deltan elites and people.
The will to end bad governance in Delta should be a concern for Deltans and not mere pretense and wishful thinking. I call on Governor Oborevwori to give account of these payments.
