Ethiope East Spelling Bee Competition: Bender, Kokori Girls, Edna Royal Schools Clinch Spots At Finals

Oasis Magazine Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, on Tuesday commenced the 2024 Spelling Bee Competition for secondary schools in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The contest for schools from Eku, Okurekpo, Okpara Water Side and Samagidi, held at Aganbi Primary School, Eku, on Monday.
Meanwhile, speaking to journalists, Chairman of the Planning Comnittee, Dr. Roland Orogun, said all “schools from Kokori, Ovu, Okpara Inland, Isiokolo, Orokpo and Oviorie will meet at Agbon Secondary School, Isiokolo by 11am on Thursday, 17th October.
Adding: “Then schools from Oria and all Abraka will meet at Abraka Grammar School on Friday, 18th October.”

In his words, “Today’s competition was a huge success; it was very interesting.”
Reacting, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of NUJ-Oasis Chapel, Daniel Umukoro, congratulated the schools that emerged top three best schools at the said location.
He continued; “We have met and agreed that the school that came fourth, Eku Girls School will take part in the finals at Abraka. This is because Kokori Girls that came out second ought to have waited and joined schools from their location at Isiokolo.”
