Zulum Sacks All Borno Commissioners, Dissolves State Executive Council
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has sacked all Commissioners and dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
It was learnt that the decision is aimed at removing the Commissioners from office to allow any of them who may wish to contest elective positions in the forthcoming 2027 general elections to do so without holding executive positions.
The Governor directed all the affected commissioners to hand over the affairs of their respective ministries to the Permanent Secretaries on or before Friday, April 3, 2026
Governor Zulum thanked the outgoing Commissioners for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the development of the state.
