Delta Central 2027: Omo-Agege Submits APC Form, Promises Issue-Based Campaign

Former Deputy President of the 9th Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has officially submitted his nomination form to contest for the Delta Central Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 16 January 2027 general elections.

Omo-Agege disclosed this in a Facebook post on Thursday, describing the submission of his nomination form as an important milestone in his political journey.

According to him, the move is in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act 2022 as amended, and the constitution and guidelines of the APC.

The former lawmaker said his decision to seek election into the Senate again reflects his commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also pledged to work closely with Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, towards building a united, prosperous, and development-oriented Delta State.

Omo-Agege expressed appreciation to leaders and members of the APC in Delta Central for their confidence and support, while commending the party leadership for conducting what he described as a transparent and orderly nomination process.

Speaking on the forthcoming 2027 elections, he promised to run an issue-based and peaceful campaign that would reflect the aspirations of the people of Delta Central. He stressed that unity within the APC remains vital to achieving the party’s goals and urged stakeholders to remain focused and united.

According to him, the people of Delta Central deserve quality representation that is accessible, responsive, and committed to delivering results, adding that he remains determined to uphold that standard if elected.
