NAPPS Delta Secretariat, Fulfilment Of A Long-Standing Dream — Ifoghere
The immediate past Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State Chapter, Deacon Monday Ifoghere, has described the groundbreaking ceremony for the association’s proposed secretariat complex as the fulfilment of a long-standing dream.
Ifoghere made the remark on Monday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed NAPPS Delta State Secretariat Complex and Multipurpose Auditorium, expressing gratitude to God for making the commencement of the project a reality.
He described the occasion as a significant milestone for the association, noting that members had waited for a long time to witness the beginning of the project.
“It is the beginning of a dream coming through. It has been a long dream, and today, we are happy and alive to see the groundbreaking ceremony of our state secretariat. It is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes,” he said.
The former chairman, however, stressed the need for continuity, urging the current state leadership to sustain the momentum and ensure that the project is completed.

He also called on incoming leaders to build on the foundation being laid by the present administration, warning against distractions that could hinder the realisation of the association’s objective.
“We have started it, and we must keep it on. We should not be distracted by anything that wants to distract our attention,” Ifoghere said.
He expressed optimism that sustained commitment by successive administrations would lead to the completion of the secretariat complex in the coming years.
Ifoghere further called for unity among members, emphasising that collective commitment was essential to the association’s progress.
“NAPPS, we are marching on, and there is no going back. Unity is the watchword,” he said.
He also reminded members that leadership was a responsibility that required an understanding of the need for orderly succession.
“Let everybody know that there is time for everything: time to lead and time to rest,” he added.
The proposed secretariat complex and multipurpose auditorium are expected to provide NAPPS Delta State Chapter with a permanent administrative base and a facility for meetings and other activities.
