COE, Agbor: How Sir Smith Ogbe Celebrated Tenure Completion As Bursar

The immediate past Bursar, College of Education (COE), Agbor, Sir Smith
Arierhi Jeremiah Ogbe, recently hosted family members, friends and well-wishers at the popular Nations Convention Resorts Hotel, Abraka after a church thanksgiving service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Abraka, when he celebrated the successful completion of his 10-year-tenure.
The occasion chaired by Professor Willie Akpochator, had HRM Akpomeyoma
Majoroh Ojeta II represented by kingdom spokesman, High Chief Felix Okotie
and other dignitaries in attendance.
The chairman, Prof. Akpochator, during his address commended the celebrant
for organizing a thanksgiving service in appreciation to God for seeing him
through, haven served two terms as.
Celebrating his impact so far, members of Oruarivie Youth Leaders/Stakeholders led by Mondek Edakarabor, presented an ‘Award of
Recognition’ to the host, describing him as one that always had his doors to assist people when the need arises.
According to them, Sir Smith has contributed immensely to youth development in the kingdom.
Dr. Joseph Onyeisi Ukadike, Provost, College of Education, Agbor, speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) said the occasion is during an exclusive chat said that he was impressed by the out-gone Bursar, who he said came out clean after 10 years in office.
He wished the celebrant long life and more prosperity.
Sir Ogbe started his work career in July, 1985 when he joined the services
od Delta State University, Abraka as Accountant II. Through dint of hard
work, he rose to become a Principal Accountant in October, 2004 after
serving in all the various sections of the Bursary Department of the University. He also served as pioneer College Accountant, College of Health Sciences and then Head of Management Division of the Bursary Department. In June, 2007, he was appointed the Bursar, College of Education, Agbor, a position he held till May, 2017
