DELSU: Faculty of Arts To Elect New Dean January 23

The Faculty of Arts, Delta State University, Abraka, will on the 23rd of January, 2019, elect a new Dean to pilot the affairs of the faculty for the next two years.
Information made available to Oasis Magazine shows that Board members of the faculty are set to carry out this task on the said day.
According to a source from the faculty, collection and submission of nomination forms for the exalted position ended yesterday, Friday 18th January, 2019, adding that the election is scheduled to hold at the 1000-seating-capacity hall of the university by 10:00 a.m.
Top on the list of contenders for the position are the university’s orator, Prof Sunny Awhefeada and Prof James Obitaba.
The winner will succeed the outgoing Dean, Prof (Mrs) Grace Ojie-Ogwu who has been elected the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic of the University after serving as Dean of the faculty for four years.
