Publishers of Newspapers In Delta State Set To Hold Annual Lecture, Awards Ceremony

Publishers of newspapers and magazines in Delta State, under the aegis of Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council, will on Thursday, December 5, 2019, host their annual ‘ACNPN Lecture and Awards’ ceremony.
The programme scheduled to take place at Topview Hotel, Asaba, Delta State, will be chaired by Dr. Ignatius Ezoem, former Provost, Federal College of Education, Technical (FECOTECH), Asaba, Delta State, as Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, Executive Governor of Delta State (Special Guest of Honour); Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State (Guest of Honour); Hon. Emeka Nwaobi, Member, Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Works (Guest of Honour) and Mr. Reginald Bayoko, Head of Service, Delta State (Guest of Honour) are expected to grace the event.
Other guests to attend the ceremony are HRM, Obi Nduka Ezeogwuna II, Obi of Issele-Uku Kingdom; Hon. Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Information, Delta State (Chief Host); Prof. Lady Joan Okoh JP (Mother of the Day) and Very Rev. Fr. John Ikeke (Guest Speaker).
According to the Chairman of ACNPN in the state, Comrade Jude Obiemenyego, awards will be presented to some Deltans that have excelled in their chosen fields, adding that a lecture titled: ‘Managing Flood Disaster’ will be delivered at the said event.
