Abraka: Jessa Pays Primary 6 Enrolment Fees For Over 80 Pupils

As part of his effort towards promoting education, the Chief Executive Officer of Jessa Global Oils Limited, Abraka, Chief (Amb.) Harrison Jessa, has extended his benevolence to some pupils, as he paid the enrolment fees for over 80 pupils in the community.
Oasis Magazine learnt of the gesture and decided to contact Chief Jessa.
He said: “I have been doing this for the past 11 years secretly in my community in Urhuovie where I am from. Every year, I sponsor the enrolment of between 40 to 60 students in Ogodo Primary school, Abraka.
“This year, I paid for 50 pupils and decided to go beyond my community and thus reached out to Avwaeke Primary School where I finished from many years ago. I was given a list of about 90 names yet to be enrolled. I decided to pay for 30 pupils. If more cash comes in next year, I will do more than that. I made a vow to God that I will continue to enroll pupils like this every year till God calls me home,” adding that education is the best legacy to give to a child.
He continued: “I travel a lot and I know that as small as Five Hundred Naira gift, it will matter to people. The enrolment fee is Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira. It looks small, but many parents cannot afford that amount. I believe that what I am doing now will motivate others to do same. I am not very wealthy, but I am doing my best and I hope it will help the beneficiaries.”
He added: “I was shocked to find this act of mine trending on the social media. I believe what you do is for God and not human beings and did not think it should be published.”
He prayed that God grant him life to continue to do great things for indigenes of the community and others outside of the locality.
