Cars Destroyed, As Fire Guts Mechanic Village In Sapele
By Valerie Oyibo-Itie
It was a sad day, yesterday for some artisans and their customers at Mechanic Village in Sapele as a late-night inferno razed down their shops and cars.
It was gathered that the fire started from one of the cars with electrical fault, and spread to other cars and shops in the village.

All efforts to get the fire service to rescue the situation on time proved abortive to the end that before their arrival, three shops had been razed to the ground and five vehicles belonging to persons that brought them for repairs, burnt beyond recognition.
At the time of filing this report, owners of the burnt cars and artisans that had their shops razed down, were seen at the accident scene, counting their losses.
