Oil Spill: Amgbaduba Denies Accusation Of Ethnic Bigotry

Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State, Prince Emman Amgbaduba, has denied reports that accused him of promoting ethnic bigotry in his approach to the oil spill in Abiteye field in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta.

Amgbaduba in a statement by Mrs. Maureen A. Eseh, PRO Oil and Gas Ministry l, Delta State, who described the said publication in some sections of the online media as malicious, said “the report was untrue, unfair to him and a figment of the imagination of the authors.”

According to the statement, “in all his years as a public officer, he has never promoted narrow ethnic sentiments, right from when he served as Chairman of Delta South Senatorial District of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and now, Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.”

Adding: “It’s not in his character and any person carrying such rumour is a messenger of doom and should be dismissed.”

“He has always been a lover and promoter of peace in our state and nation and will continue to do so,” the statement added.

Furthermore, he called on the public to discountenance the said publication, saying “it does not reflect the reality on ground.”
