Police Area Commander Describes Ika People As Peaceful, Hardworking

The officer in charge of Agbor Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force, ACP Adamu Idachaba, has described Ika people as peace loving and hard working.
Mr. Idachaba made this known during the commissioning of a 50 KVA power generating plant at Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State by an illustrious son of Agbor kingdom who preferred anonymity.
According to Idabacha, “I have no regret working in Ika land. Sincerely, If l was asked to talk about Ika people, I would describe them as peace loving and hardworking individuals.”
He commended the gesture of the anonymous donor, saying that he would ensure adequate policing of the locality.
Commissioning the power plant, the Queen Mother, Queen Victoria Ikenchukwu, thanked the Area Commander and his men for their support in the fight against insecurity in Ika Land and environs.
She urged them to continue to do more, particularly this festive season which, she said, criminal activities could skyrocket all over the place.
Speaking further, the Queen Mother stated that the whole idea of providing a conducive accommodation for the office of the Area Commander was an index of the often chanted saying that ensuring security was everybody’s business.
She disclosed that the success factors of community policing included collaboration, trust, financial and physical resources, and community relations, saying that when properly done, it would improve intra and inter community relations and enhance community safety.
