The tie that emerged from the Ethiope Federal Constituency primaries between Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu and Hon. Ben Igbakpa Rolands, a while ago, unmasked very germane truths about goal-oriented leadership. Of course, the result dazzled the expectation of many, except few persons with great faith in the midst of obvious hopelessness.

Honestly, everyone expected that it will be an easy ride for Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, considering the fact that she had so many bigwigs behind her. However, the reverse was the case. This leads me to my convinient point of analytical entry into the matter at hand.

First, the votes gotten by Hon. Ben Rolands Igbakpa are symptomatic of the fact that, any leadership with impact on the people wins!

Though it is a tie at the moment, the votes he got have shown his general acceptability and rechoed a plea for more of his purposeful, transformational and ingenuous representation. He has equally shown that people matter in governance, but some people matter a lot more than others, irrespective of their affiliation and connections because of their value and impact.

Lastly, it has reemphasized the fact that people-centred leadership is distinctive and it is best explained by looking at the personal characteristics of the individuals involved!
