IHRC Presents Award To Abraka DPO

The International Human Rights Commission, IHRC, on Thursday presented an award for National Consolidation to the the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Abraka Police Division, Delta State, Nigeria, SP Ayameh Fabian Emehi.

The South South Representative and IHRC Editor-in-Chief Worldwide, Mr Fidelis Onakpoma who led other leaders of the body to the brief event that held in Abraka, during his address, said they were assigned to honour him for being a nominee for the National Consolidation Award.

He also said that IHRC is a firm organization that rewards and appreciates law enforcement agencies around the globe.

In his words, the prestigious award is a recognition of the DPO’s efforts in combating crime, advancing community cohesion, promoting civic awareness in the community and resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy, saying his records are overwhelming.

Mr Fidelis also pointed out some disturbing issues in the community such as the outrageous POS charges and the high increment of house rents which has led to a lot of social vices in the community.

Reacting to the gesture, the DPO thanked the awardees, stating that the honour will spur him up to do more for the community.

Other IHRC leaders from the area present during the award presentation were Comrade Emmanuel Ogunti,, Apostle Ishani Gospel and Hon. Dr. Wilson Ekwerekwu.
