Akasa Condemns Bloody Kidnap Incident In Effurun

The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa (JP) has condemned the bloody kidnap incident that took place at Idjakpa Road , Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area where the wife of a member of Delta State House of Assembly was abducted and her police orderlies killed by daredevil kidnappers in the early evening of Monday, 2nd September, 2024.
Akasa who is the highest traditional chief in Uvwie Kingdom in a media chat with our correspondent , warned that criminal elements should relocate from Uvwie Local Government Area or else they will soon be caught up by the law .
Akasa who is standing in for HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 who is on vacation abroad, noted that Uvwie has been very peaceful since the emergence of the Abe 1.

He therefore warned that “we shall not fold our arms and see people committing crime in Uvwie Kingdom.
“We shall give the law enforcement agents the necessary support in the fight against crime in Uvwie Kingdom ” he promisedm.
Akasa however charged the police to fitch out the perpetrators of the heinous crime just as he noted that the kidnapped wife of the lawmaker is an Uvwie indigene
The highly respected Uvwie high chief also sympathized with families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed report indicated that the kidnapped wife of the lawmaker was abandoned by the kidnappers when they sited a security escort van on siren driving from the opposite direction and that they however shot at their victim at her stomach and one of her legs before they vanished into the thing air.
The report also had it that the wife of the lawmaker was receiving treatment for injuries sustained from the bullet wounds in an undisclosed private hospital at the time of filing this report.
Efforts to confirm the story of the abandoned and injured wife of the lawmaker from the Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO ) Delta State Police Command SP Bright Edafe were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
