DELSU SUG Lauds Governor With Public Service Excellence Award
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the 17th Convocation Ceremony at Delta State University, Abraka, celebrated a key milestone, with graduates from the 2023/2024 academic session officially conferred their degrees.
The Right Honourable (Elder) Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori (JP), Governor of Delta State, was honored with the prestigious Exemplary Public Service Award by the Delta State University Students’ Union Government (DELSU SUG) led by Sen. Amb. Onovughegor Augustine the President of the Students Union Government.

The award, presented by Sen. Amb. Onovughegor, the President of the DELSU SUG for the 2024/2025 administration (31st Assembly) was conferred during the well-attended convocation ceremony in DELSU Abraka.
The accolade celebrates Governor Oborevwori’s transformative leadership, marked by initiatives aimed at fostering socio-economic development, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting inclusive governance in Delta State.
The Exemplary Public Service Award underscores the strong partnership between the Delta State government and its vibrant student community, as both work collaboratively to build a brighter future for all Deltans.
