Hit-And-Run Driver Leaves Three Critically Injured In Abraka

Three persons are battling for their lives after a hit-and-run driver caused a serious accident on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026, in front of Ufuoma Clinic, near Friendies Hotel, Abraka, Delta State.
The crash involved a motorcyclist who was conveying two passengers when an allegedly overzealous driver rammed into them, leaving all three victims with severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, abandoning the injured victims without offering help.
The victims were rushed for emergency treatment and later referred to Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, for advanced medical care due to the severity of their injuries.

Fortunately, the fleeing driver’s plate number, KJA 797 JV, reportedly fell off at the scene during the incident. The plate number has since been handed over to the Abraka Police Station to assist in ongoing investigations and efforts to track down the suspect.
Residents of the area have condemned the incident and called on law enforcement authorities to ensure the driver is identified and brought to justice.
