By Our Reporter
Social activist, Harrison Gwamnishu has revealed that all police officers allegedly involved in the extra-judicial killing of a young man in Effurun, Delta State, are currently being moved to Abuja as investigations into the incident intensify.
The update followed widespread public outrage after a video of the incident surfaced online, sparking condemnation and renewed calls against police brutality and unlawful killings by security operatives.
According to Gwamnishu, less than one hour after the incident was posted online, a response was received from the Inspector General of Police, signaling swift intervention from the highest level of the police hierarchy.

He expressed gratitude to the individual who recorded and shared the video, describing the act as courageous and instrumental in ensuring that the matter gained urgent national attention.
“Whoever made that video, evil will be far from you. Thanks to everyone for lending your voice. We posted this today and in less than one hour, we received a response from the Inspector General of Police,” he wrote on Facebook.
The development has been hailed as a significant step toward accountability, with campaigners insisting that justice must be served and that those responsible must face the full weight of the law.
Gwamnishu also announced plans to be in Warri on Tuesday as part of continued efforts to push for justice and reinforce the call to end police brutality and extra-judicial killings across the country.
The incident has further reignited the #EndPoliceBrutality movement, with many Nigerians urging citizens to always document police encounters as a means of protecting lives and ensuring accountability.
