Immediate Past CAN Delta Chairman, Sylvanus Okorote, Is Dead ​

ASABA, NIGERIA — The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Delta State Chapter, has officially announced the passing of its immediate past Chairman, Senior Special Apostle Dr. Sylvanus Okorote.

​The announcement, on Saturday, was signed by Dr. Ejobee on behalf of the current state Chairman, Rev. Lucky Osagbakhoe.

​In the said statement, the Christian body described the development as heartbreaking for the Christian community in Delta State.

“It is with a heavy heart but total submission to the will of God Almighty that we announce the Home Call to Glory of Snr. Sp. Apst. Dr. Sylvanus Okorote, immediate past Chairman of CAN Delta State,” the statement read.

​Dr. Okorote was a widely respected religious leader in Delta State and across Nigeria, known for his dedicated service, leadership, and efforts in fostering unity among various Christian denominations during his tenure as Chairman.

​Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and state-wide memorial services are expected to be released by the family and the CAN state executive council in the coming days.
