Sapele Constituency: Okpe Students Endorse Anirah For DTHA Race

The candidacy of Chief (Hon.) Felix Anirah for the Delta State House Assembly race to represent the people of Sapele, has received a boost, after the National Association of Okpe Students (NAOS) endorsed him, saying that his antecedents stands him out from other candidates in the race.

Speaking on behalf of the students when they paid the Delta State House of Assembly hopeful a visit in his Sapele residence today, Ufuoma Erharhine, said that Chief Anirah is a youth and student friendly politician who demonstrated good leadership qualities and an open door policy when he served as the local government chairman in Sapele, adding that in time past, those that represented the constituency in the legislative chamber performed poorly.

He described Anirah as a humble politician given to philanthropy, saying that they unanimously agreed to pick him as the choice candidate for the coming elections.

Erharine assured Chief Anirah that the student community in Okpe and Sapele communities would stand by him and mobilize for his victory.

In his response to the gesture, Anirah, while thanking the group, said that he was in the race to change the narrative and not to seek financial gains.

According to him, he would serve just a term if he is voted in.

He said: “I want to clear the way for the youths and thereafter move further to greater heights.”

He called on the students to reject the Buhari-led government, come Saturday 23rd, February, 2019, saying that they must vote wisely.

Present at the auspicious occasion were the patron of the association, Ambassador Vote Ibiokoro, executive members of NAOS and some members of the group.

Chief Anirah is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
