Police Nab Man, 34 For Smashing 3yr – Old Child To Death In Anambra
Anambra State Police Operatives yesterday arrested one Mr. Onwele Anayo aged thirty-four, on the murder of Divine Eze aged three, residing in Hillview Estate, Nkwelle -Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area.
In a release signed by the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said that preliminary information shows that the suspect visited the father of the victim on Wednesday,15th June, 2022 and spent the night in the victim’s house, and in the early hours of yesterday, an argument ensued between the father and the suspect.
The suspect took the child as he was sleeping and killed him, by hitting him on the floor severally and carrying a knife from the room, pursuing the father around the house, threatening to kill him.

Police Operatives have visited the scene and recovered the body of the child and investigation is ongoing.
The police said that further development in the matter will be communicated to the public.
