TCN To Commence Two-Day Maintenance In Delta Transmission Substation Friday

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that one of its contractors in conjunction with some of its electrical maintenance staff, will carry out an installation on the 33kV feeder bus in its Delta Transmission Substation on the 2nd and 3rd of August, 2024.
Ndidi Mbah, GM, Public Affairs, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, “the exercise is to replace the old 33kV bus bar with the new 75MVA 132/33kV secondary bus bar and isolator.”
Adding: “This will increase the capacity of the substation to accommodate a new transformer that is scheduled to be delivered to the substation.”

“Consequently, there will be power interruption as Benin DisCo will not be able to offtake electricity from the substation to serve its customers in Ughelli, Shell, Otorwodo, Patain, Agbarho, Eku, Isoko, Kwale, Bata-Glass, Alana and Imoniyame for the stated period,” the statement said.
Furthermore, TCN apologized for the inconvenience this will cause the affected electricity consumers.
