Ethiope East Council Boss Hails Okowa On Election Tribunal Victory

By Daniel Dafe
The Executive Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Faith Majemite, has congratulated the Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa on his victory at the Election Tribunal, saying that it was one well deserved, as she hailed him for wielding through the storm to get the nod of the courts for a second term in tandem with the wishes of Deltans.

According to her, the declaration by the tribunal in favour of the Governor was an attestation to the fact that the people of Delta State have confidence in his capacity to build a ‘Stronger Delta’ through his ‘Smart Agenda’.
Chief Majemite wondered why the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Great Ogboru, would challenge the result of an election he won in two out of the twenty five local government areas of the state.
She noted that support for Governor Okowa was evident across the state from the campaigns through the elections, adding that his good works in his first term in office stood him out as the man to beat in the governorship election.
Majemite urged Chief Ogboru to stop wasting his resources on further litigations, advising that all he needed to do now was to contribute his quota to the development of the state, as she called on the people of Delta State to support the governor more than they did during his first term.
She continued: “The people of Ethiope East are solidly behind Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and we will do our best in contributing our own quota to making sure that he achieves more in his second term.”
