Eku-Abraka Road Driver Laments As Car Catches Fire

A driver, Desmond Enughwure who plies the Eku-Abraka route has lost his vehicle with registration number AGB 263 XA in a fire incidence.
Enughwure who spoke to Oasis Magazine (OM) during a phone conversation said the incidence occurred at the weekend in the evening while 3 passengers were onboard from Eku to Abraka.

According to him, he had gotten to Erho when he suddenly noticed that his car was overheating and smoke was coming from the engine and he had to park and asked all the passengers to alight, as he tried to figure out was wrong.
But, to his greatest amazement, the bonnet of the car refused to open and the engine was already on fire.
Speaking further, he said attempts to attract help failed and by the time a symphatiser came to his rescue, It was already too late.
While calling on the Delta State Government, Ethiope East leaders and well-meaning Deltans to come to his aid, he disclosed that the car was the only source of income for his family of five, adding that his mother and wife have not stopped crying since they learnt of the incidence.
In an emotional-ladened voice, the driver hoped he would get help to come out of this nightmare.
“I just spent all my Monet in fixing that engine recently, and badly need my life to get back up immediately,” he said.
