Orerokpe Community Moves To Check Robbery, Killings,
OREROKPE COMMUNITY Forms Security Outfit

The need for a collective responsibility in safeguarding the lives and property of residents of Orerokpe Community, headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area, have been looked emphasized.
This was part of resolutions reached yesterday at a stakeholder meeting of leaders and youth of Orerokpe following the incessant killing and robbery cases that have been going on within the community.
The meeting was held between Mr Milveton Enajero, the head of the Orerokpe Community and the youths of the community, looked into the security situation of the community and find possible solutions to stop the killing and case of robbery within the community. at his residence
At the end of the meeting it was agreed that henceforth all residents within the community should not power generator set after 11.00 pm and that all male youth should to come out by 11.00 pm to guide their streets.
It was also gathered this arrangement would continue until the Orerokpe vigilante group was reconstituted, although it was also noted that during the period of reconstitution, the vigilante would still be in patrol within the community.

It will be recalled that recently in Orerokpe, armed robbers attacked and killed one Mr Isaac Ikweku in his residence at Osamujeta Street, Off Hospital Road, Orerokpe and also at Udu Street, Off Five Junction, one Beauty Oshovwere was shot on one leg by unknown gunmen.
