Council Polls: Ethiope East PDP Begins Electioneering Campaign Tomorrow With Visits To Abraka Kings

Ahead of the March 6 council polls in Delta State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will storm Abraka on Tuesday for a visit to the Ovie of Oruarivie Abraka Kingdom, HRM Akpomeyoma Majoroh Ojeta II and Ovie of Umiaghwa Abraka Kingdom, HRM (AVM) Ochuko Ararile (rtd) at 9a.m. and 1p.m. respectively in their palaces to seek royal blessings for their chairmanship candidate, Pharmacist Victor Ofobrukueta and 20 councillorship candidates in the forthcoming elections.

According to a release signed by the party’s Chairman in the local government, Hon. Felix Erhimedafe, who also heads the campaign committee, apart from the visits to the monarchs, 7 wards will also be visited same day to woo voters for the party.

Thus, Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 15 and 16 will be visited on the said day.

According to the statement, on Wednesday, 24th February, 2021, a visit to the Ovie of Agbon, Ogurime-rime Ukori I, Michael Omeru, alongside Wards 19, 20, 10, 11, 12 and 13 will take place.

Continuing, he said on Day 3, the campaign train will storm Wards 14, 9, 7, 18, 17, 6 and 8 on Thursday, February 25.

Adding that takeoff point daily is Chief Bernard Edewor”s residence in Eku, as he urged all party faithful to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols.
