Doctors, Dentists Begin Indefinite Strike In Oyo

Medical doctors in Oyo State have commenced an indefinite strike over the failure of the state government to meet their demands.
The aggrieved doctors and dentists under the
the auspices of Association of Medical and Dental Officers (AMDO) announced the commencement of the strike in a statement made available to PlatinumPost on Sunday.
Chairman of the association, Ajibolu Oke, noted that the action came after the expiration of ultimatum issued since June 2020.

Adding that the earlier strike was suspended after medical doctors were asked to give Governor Seyi Makinde enough time to settle down in office.
The association directed all doctors in the state service to resume duty only from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily (Monday-Sunday) to attend to emergencies.
It further stated that there shall be no services provided after 4:00pm and no admissions of patients at government hospitals.
