NAU2023 Urges Delta Political Leaders To Support Urhobo Governorship
Good day everyone, thank you all for joining the NORTH AMERICA URHOBO 2023 (NAU2023) MOVEMENT.
As we all know, North America Urhobo 2023 Movement is not about a person or personalities, rather it was conceived and birthed based on the ideology that we, as a people (in Delta State) indivisible by our ethnicity are fully in support of and advocate utmost respect of the gentlemanly agreement within the PDP that has shaped political dynamics as advocated by our revered political elders and leaders of thought.
This well thought strategic calculus has been quite effective and met its objective has espoused but the framers, in allowing power rotation between all geopolitical regions, thus giving equal representative opportunities to our various ethnic groups via our various senatorial districts, hence the turn of Delta Central i.e. the URHOBO to produce the next Governor of Delta State, and the process christened NORTH AMERICA URHOBO 2023 MOVEMENT.
North America Urhobo 2023 Movement has been a long way coming since inception about two years ago. The forum is an intellectual project with the goal of providing an intelligent framework for sourcing and canvassing for the most worthwhile Governorship Candidate from Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State, by and for all Niger Deltan and most importantly, those of us who are directly from Delta State.

As the convener of the movement, Hon. Edafe Sodje will like to reiterate that Delta State belongs to all of us and we opine that each zone of the State deserves equal opportunity to be represented at the highest level of office available in the democratic scenery of the State, hence the need to come up with this coherent and consistent ideological movement at this time as a point of pride with the sense of belonging to find the most credible Urhobo Son or Daughter to lead Delta State to a greater height, chosen from Delta Central region at this time (in 2023), and avoid a situation where some very few individuals would want to derail the respected gentleman agreement as devised by our elders and fore-fathers – per rotation of power.
To our Deltan brothers and sisters at home and in the diaspora, coherence and consistency is an impossible balancing act and either you defend the ideas or you defend the cause, let us not supplant our traditional
conservatism but redefine our commitment to Delta State politics of uplifting one another.
Now, in the wake of NORTH AMERICA URHOBO 2023 MOVEMENT, a multi-ethnic membership movement cum forum, we are proud to state that the project to find a very credible and a more viable candidate for Delta State Governorship position has been revitalized in the Diaspora. Such and any candidate from Delta Central vying for this exalted and highest political level of service delivery to the people office in Delta State will also be subjected to voters’ acceptability study, scrutiny, vetting and possibly some support on this platform when the need arises.
Finally, the North America Urhobo 2023 (NAU2023) Movement, a true Delta Central Senatorial stance at this time, is a factual testimony that no region or senatorial district of Delta State will be a minority any longer in quest of being able to garner enough popular vote from other regions when trying to attain the highest office in the State. It is Urhobo Delta
Central’s time today, it might be your (region) turn the next time, so join the wheels of progress, respect the wishes of our elders and uplift the unity in our diversity and culture as Deltans.
SUPPORT the North America Urhobo 2023 (NAU2023) PROJECT.
Cheers!
