N22.4B Paris Club Refund: Court Restrains Abia Assembly, Ad-Hoc Committee From Inviting, Investigating Obinna Oriaku
Abia High Court has barred the State House of Assmebly and its Ad-Hoc Committee from inviting or investigating Hon. Obinna Oriaku, Ex- Commissioner of Fiance, over Abia 22.4b Paris Club Refund.
Hon. Justice Ory-Ikeorha, the presiding judge, gave the ruling on Wednesday, 4th August, 2022.
The document, made available to newsmen on Friday, said; after careful perusal of the Motion paper and the accompanying statement filled pursuant to Order 40 Rule 3 (2) (a) of the Abia State High Court, and having equally considered the facts of the application; as well as the applicants counsel’s written address and after hearing the selfsame learned counsel C.C Uhuaba Esq pray the Honorable Court for LEAVE to apply for judicial review.

Ikeoha restrained the Abia Assembly and its Ad-Hoc Committee set up for the investigation of the N22billion Abia States share of the Paris Club Refund from inviting or extending further invitation to the Applicant and/or any proceeding related to the pubic enquiry on issues connected, arising and/or related which is the subject matter of the pending suits.
