Sales Of Entrance Forms Into Nursing, Midwifery Schools Begin In Delta
Sales of forms for the common entrance examination into the various programmes in Delta State schools of nursing and midwifery has commenced.
A statement by the Director of Information, Mrs Theresa Oliko, said the programmes available for admission of students are 18-Calendar months Post Basic Nursing Programme for the award of Registered Nurse (RN) certificate and three years Basic Nursing Programme for the award of Registered Nurse (RN) certificate.
Others, the statement said, are three years Basic Midwifery Programme for the award of Registered Midwife (RM) certificate; two years Community Midwifery Programme for the award of Community Midwife Certificate; and two years Community Nursing Programme for the award of Community Nursing Certificate.
According to the statement, prospective Post Basic, Nursing; and Midwifery students are expected to pay a non-refundable entrance examination fee of N15, 000.00 (fifteen thousand naira) while Community Midwifery and Nursing students are to pay N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira).
The two categories of payments, the statement further said, are to be paid into the account, named, Ministry of Health, Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Zenith Bank PLC, and account number 1015649624.

The statement said the entrance examination forms are available for collection at the candidate’s school of choice on presentation of payment teller and subsequently, submission of completed form.
While advising prospective students to note that there is no online sale of forms, the statement added that examination schedules for the various programmes will commence on Saturday, March 5 and end on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
It further clarified that while the examinations for Post Basic Nursing, March 5, 2022, Basic Midwifery, March 12, and Community Nursing and Midwifery, March 26, 2022 will hold at the School of Midwifery, Off Okpanam Road, at 10.00 am; that of Basic Nursing, March 19, 2022 will hold at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Off Ibusa Road, also at 10.00 am.
