Ika Highlife Music Maestro, Chief Uwayah, Is Dead
Popular Ika Highlife music maestro, Chief Ifeanyi Akwete Uwayah!, is dead.
He died on Monday.
A post on the verified Facebook page of the legendary musician six hours ago, said: “IKA NATION HAS JUST LOST A MUSICAL IROKO, A GREAT LEGEND OF IKA MUSIC: hard to say , Chief Ifeanyi Akwete Uwaya has just passed away.”

Meanwhile, Jonathan Onwuka, former Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, who reacted to the sad news in a Facebook post, described the deceased as “a great man with amazing talent.”
His post added: “Good bye Chief Ifeanyi Akwete Uwayah!
“May your soul find rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
The deceased was the Ezegu Dein of the ancient Agbor kingdom.
