Ethiope East Will Not Regret Having Me As Chairman —Ogedegbe
By Daniel Dafe
The newly sworn-in Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon Augustine Ogedegbe
has said that Ethiope Easterners, the council and the council staff will not regret having him as their Chairman, saying “the time for effective service delivery is now.”
The new council boss gave the assurance in a post on X Tuesday morning.
Recall that on Monday, he was officially sworn-in as the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. (Hon.) Sheriff Oborevwori.
He continued: “With joy in my heart and the dire desire to serve my people, I declare that I am a chairman for all Ethiope Easterners both home and in diaspora, regardless of political affiliations and religious divide.
“I am committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of my people; that has been my core and it won’t change now, if for anything, that burning desire has tripled.
“As a Council Chairman, I acknowledge that the civil servants are the engine room of the council and without them we cannot effectively deliver our campaign promises..
“Therefore, my doors are open in high spirit to work with every staff of the council, all stakeholders in the Local Government and of course the good people of Ethiope East.”
