North Korea Tests Enhanced Rocket Launcher, Claims Improved Capabilities

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has overseen the successful test of an upgraded rocket launcher, according to state media.
The launch, conducted on Tuesday, featured enhancements in maneuverability and concentrated firing power, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The improvements, including a new guidance system, were noted for their superior control and destructive capacity.

This development is part of North Korea’s increased weapon testing activities since early 2022, which also include nuclear-capable missiles. Tensions with the US and South Korea have escalated, while military cooperation with Russia has intensified.
A South Korean lawmaker recently revealed that North Korea may have sent over 13,000 arms shipping containers to Russia since mid-2022, potentially containing more than 6 million artillery shells, according to Yonhap.
