The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe JP, has approved the dissolution of all Revenue Committees and Revenue Contractors for the year 2025.
This was contained in a statement on Monday signed by Hon. Ojeh Ebojoh Francis, Secretary to Ethiope East Local Government Council.
The statement added: “In view of this decision, all affected persons are directed to immediately cease the collection of any form of revenue for or on behalf of the Council. Any individual or group found engaging in revenue collection after this announcement will be regarded as acting illegally and will be handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution.”
The council authority also advised members of the public to discontinue all financial transactions with members of the dissolved committees, as a new Revenue Committee for the year 2026 will be inaugurated in due course.
