Oleh Campus: Enyaharo Isoko Staff Association Of DELSU Holds Welcome Party For New Provost, Atonuje

Enyaharo Isoko Staff Association of the Delta State University (DELSU), Oleh Campus on Friday, 27 March 2026 held a welcome party in honour of the new Provost of the Oleh Campus of DELSU, Professor Augustine Atonuje at the Faculty of Law Complex, Oleh Campus, Oleh .
In his address, Atonuje welcomed all to the Welcome Party.
Atonuje, an Isoko man, said he was very happy to be in the midst of members of the Enyaharo Isoko Staff Association of DELSU, Oleh Campus.
He appealed to members of the Enyaharo to be united and work hard for the progress of Oleh Campus.
Also, he said that during the course of performing his duties as Provost, he may need to scold any staff who errs, saying such staff should not feel offended.
On his part, Chief Amadhi Iduh, former President – General of Isoko Development Union (IDU) who was the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony, told members of the Enyaharo that he was very happy with the formation of their Association.
He recounted how, as President – General of the IDU he fought for the building of the Faculty of Law Complex by the Delta State Government. Also, he narrated how IDU helped immensely in providing necessary equipment, furniture and so on to secure full accreditation of the National Universities Commission ( NUC) for the Faculties of Law and Engineering at the Oleh Campus.

The Isoko strongman solicited the support of members of the Enyaharo for the new Provost, promising that the IDU would do more to move the Campus to the highest level and eventually turn the same to a full- fledged university.
He emphasized that the Isoko nation contributes greatly to the national income of Nigeria through crude oil production, hence the Federal Government of Nigeria must do more to develop Isoko nation.
He congratulated the new Provost on his appointment as Provost of the Oleh Campus by Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, Vice–Chancellor of the Delta State University, Abraka.
Dignitaries who attended the event, included Professor Augustine Atonuje, Provost of the Oleh Campus, Mrs. Atonuje, wife of the Provost, Chief Amadhi Iduh, former President – General of IDU, and Chief Daniel Odhomo,, Vice–Chairman of IDU.
Other dignitaries who attended the event, included Professor A.C.E Abuza who stood for himself and the Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor ( Mrs) Beauty Alloh, Professor Blessing Eboibi, Dr. Gabriel Efenedo, Dr. Lawrence Oyovwe, Mr. Godstime Odigwe , Ms. C. Okeke, Dr. Monday Agbawe and Chief (Mrs) Florence Ogueri.
