Osawota Advises Tinubu To Constitute Taskforce On Reduction Of Petro Price
By Ambrose Ologide
Reacting to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request of oil marketers to reduce the price of petrol occasioned by the crash of petrol in the international oil market, Barrister Andi Kayoma Osawota has advised President Tinubu to constitute a taskforce on the reduction of the price of petro locally.
He gave the advice in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at the weekend.
He noted that oil Ocean liners have been navigating the Strait of Hormuz since it was opened, following the agreement between the United States and Iranian governments and that this led to the crash of oil price at the international market.
He therefore stated that oil marketers should reduce their prices of petroleum locally.
Osawota then commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his request of asking oil marketers to reduce their prices locally.
He however reasoned that the only way for the oil marketers to yield to the request of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is for President Tinubu to constitute a taskforce on the reduction of the price of petroleum product to the price at which it was before the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The legal luminary had recalled that Nigerian masses suffered and are still experiencing untold hardship as a result of the hike of petroleum products .
