JUST IN: Less Than Two Months To Edo Guber Election, Another Commissioner Resigns

Barely one month after Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation resigned his appointment, and Commissioner in the Ministry of Environment and Sustainability, Dame Omoua Oni-Okpaku has resigned her appointment with the state government.
Her resignation is coming less than two months to the governorship election in the state.
Although the official letter she tendered has not been made public as at the time of writing this report, a call put across to her mobile number was received by another person and the person who happens to be female said she is her Personal Assistant and that the story of her resignation was true.
When asked what were the reasons for the resignation, she said only Oni-Okpaku herself can respond to that.
A top government official while confirming the development said they have been doubting her total commitment to the government.
He said, “I am also just hearing that but in recent times we have been noticing her non committal attitude to this government.”
Recall that the Chief of Staff to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Taiwo Akerele had in April resigned his appointment, citing administrative inconsistencies in the government.
In the last few weeks since Obaseki defected to the PDP, several Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants have resigned their appointment with the government.
