Ohanaeze: Onochie’s Appointment As INEC Commissioner Is God’s Punishment To Atiku, PDP

The Ohanaeze Youth Council Worldwide has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari over his appointment of Lauretta Onochie as a commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA, signed by the President general of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Onochie’s appointment was ‘God’s punishment’ to the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubabakar and his party for an alleged plan to scuttle Igbo presidency.
“OYC congratulates Lauretta Onochie, Special assistant on Social Media to President Muhammadu Buhari and Igbo daughter of Anioma extraction of Delta state on her appointment as National Commissioner of Independent Electoral Commission(INEC) , Igbo Youths described her appointment as well deserved and reward for hardwork, bravery and vigour displayed in the line of Duty.”
“Those crying foul play on her appointment are just treacherous people who recently murdered 2023 Igbo presidency project through killing of PDP’s Zoning formula enshrined in the Party’s Constitution and opted for an Open contest for PDP Presidential ticket.”
The group also called on the senate to confirm all of President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointees, adding that Onochie’s appointment was “punishment against prospective election riggers”.
